Mastercam三维造型的有关探讨
内容摘要：Mastercam软件具有较低的硬件要求、运行效果稳定、易学易用、加工方式齐全的特点，在国内中小企业，特别是在模具行业用得较多的一个CAD/CAM集成软件，目前版本已升至Mastercam10。本文结合多年教学的体会，从坐标系、构图面入手，以Mastercma9为例，就造型的一些关键问题进行探讨。

引言
在用Mastercam进行造型时，掌握各种菜单的内在含义和菜单内各命令的使用无疑是重要的，但这些内容很多，每个人因为个人喜好、实际的工作情况等，对命令的使用也是不一致的，但这种不一致性对造型影响并不是很大。对于Mastercam的使用，从整体上说，理解下面内容的含义以及在实际造型过程中灵活使用才是主要的。
1、工作坐标系的规定
Mastercam的坐标系分成系统坐标系和工作坐标系二大类，系统坐标系是固定不变的，工作坐标系根据用户设置构图平面时所建立的坐标系[1]。用相互垂直的三根轴（X、Y、Z轴）形成坐标系统，按照右手笛卡尔法则来确定方向。
工作坐标系也称为用户坐标系，在工作坐标系中，不管构图平面如何设置，总是X轴正方向向右，Y轴正方向向上，Z轴的正方向垂直屏幕指向用户[2]。通过点击左侧副菜单栏的WCS按钮，可以在视角管理器中可以看到系统所给定的以及用户所创建的所有的坐标系统（图1-1），每个坐标系用一个数字来进行区分。图1-1中编号1-8为系统当前的坐标系统，作图过程中，为了观察的方便，可以通过ALT+F9键，显示工作坐标系、系统坐标系、视图方向坐标系三个坐标系（图1-2a处的为当前构图面的坐标方向，图1-2b处为系统坐标系，图1-2c处为视图方向）。
