教学理念
英语作为交流的工具,要求学习者做到听,说,读,写全面发展,达到综合运用。"Reading"部分旨在培养学生的阅读能力。在阅读过程中,教师要引导学生调整学习方式,以提高他们的自主学习和合作学习的能力,使他们具有终身学习的能力;教师要采用生动活泼的教学活动,鼓励学生动脑思考,主动参与;同时还要注意既要教书又要育人,使学生心智,情感态度,学习策略,文化意识得到发展,形成正确的人生观,世界观和价值观,整体提高人文素养。
教学思路
课前用多媒体向学生展示几张残疾名人照片(张海迪,桑兰,霍金和郑志化)同时播放贝多芬的《命运交响曲》让学生预测本堂课的阅读内容。上课铃响,首先师生互致问候。第二,老师用"If you were blind/ in a wheelchair, what would you do?"这个句型向两名学生提问,以复习Speaking部分内容,同时调动起学生的积极性。第三,把Pre-reading部分三个问题展示大屏幕上,让学生和他们的搭挡进行讨论,从而导出新课。第四,阅读短文前在屏幕上展示本课的学习目标和学习方法,让学生阅读前目标明确,阅读中方法得当,提高学习效率。第五,让学生尽快阅读短文并掌握其大意,回答屏幕上四个较简单的问题,旨在培养学习的泛读能力。第六,再让学生精读短文了解具体信息,然后和其搭挡讨论屏幕上Post-reading部分四个问题,目的是培养学生的阅读理解能力。第七,在屏幕上展示短文中几个较难的语言点,依次向学生解释,帮助他们理解,最终达到会运用。第八,让学生听短文磁带,然后跟读,要求学生注意单词发音,句子的语音语调,旨在提高学生的朗读水平。第九,针对语言点出几道练习展示在屏幕上,检查学生的掌握情况,发现问题及时改正。第十,给学生归纳本堂课的学习内容,同时对学生进行思想教育,使他们能正确对待身边的残疾人。第十一,为了让学生进一步熟悉短文内容和文中出现的高频率词组,要求学生课后完成练习册作业(1. Page 125 Ex.2 2. Page 126 Ex.3)

Reading Disabled ? Not me!
Teaching Aims:
1. Learn and master the following words and expressions: get around/about fair guidance gifted assist cooperate recognition sympathy encouragement productive visual impair motivate disappointing adjust to get used to
2. Train the students' reading ability by fast-reading and careful-reading.
3. Let the students learn about what the disabled have in mind and learn to accept them as us normal people.
Teaching Important Points:
1. Master the useful phrases appearing in the reading passage correctly.
2. Improve the students' reading ability.
Teaching Difficult points:
How to help the students understand the reading passage exactly, especially the following sentence structures:
1. ... studying together with their disabled classmates is both challenging and rewarding, Living with disability is frustrating and challenging.
2. ... I am and get used to the fact that while I may not be...
Teaching Methods:
1. Fast reading to get the general idea of the reading passage.
2. Careful-reading, discussion and questioning-and-answering to help the students grasp the detailed information about the reading passage.
3. Individual work and pair work to make every student take an active part in the teaching-and-learning activities.
