摘要
在学术研究领域中,有关教师隐喻角色的研究已经有了丰硕成果。虽然如此,但由于其在实际运用中的重要性,教师隐喻角色的研究仍然有着很高的研究价值。本文就是在前人从认知语言学隐喻的各个角度对教师角色分析、研究的基础上,采用对比分析、理论分析的方法。
本文探讨了教师角色以及中美教师隐喻所体现的教师角色等方面的异同,从师生关系、教师素质、教学模式和思维方式方面概括出中美教师隐喻角色的不同。同时,本文也指出了它们的相同点,比如中美教师都是园丁,他们都强调学生的发展。本文也指出了教师隐喻下中国教学忽视培养学生独立自主的学习能力等不足之处。于是确定了中国教育中教师角色的不足,从而提出从隐喻的观点来进行教师角色的转变。研究表明,隐喻分析的目的是深刻理解教师角色,以期为教学工作者找到合适的教师角色提供一些实际性的参考,为提高教学效率寻求一些有益的启示。希望本文能令读者意识到从认知语言学的隐喻角度解析中美教师角色是研究教师角色的一个有效的角度和方法。

An Analysis of Teacher’s Roles between Chinese and American from the Perspective of Metaphor
Abstract
In the field of academic research, there have been a lot of fruits on the study of teacher’s metaphorical roles. Even so, the study of teacher’s metaphorical roles still has high research value because of its importance in practical application. Based on the previous studies and researches on teacher’s roles from a cognitive metaphor linguistics perspective, adopting the method of comparative analysis and theoretical analysis, this article discusses the roles of teacher and similarities and differences that reflected by teacher metaphors in China and America. The differences are generalized from the aspects of teacher-student relationship, teacher qualities, teaching patterns and thinking models. At the same time, it also identifies their similarities such as the teacher both in China and America being a gardener and stressing students’ development and figures out the shortcomings of Chinese teaching under teacher’s metaphor including its ignorance on cultivating students’ abilities that should have in independent learning, etc. And then identifies shortcomings of teacher’s roles in Chinese education and proposes the change of teacher’s roles from the perspective of metaphor. The studying results show that the aim of metaphorical analysis deeply understand teacher’s roles. So that it can provide some practical references for teaching workers to find suitable teacher roles and look for some useful inspiration for improving teaching efficiencies. The author hopes this article can let readers aware of that analyzing teacher’s roles between China and America from metaphorical perspective of cognitive linguistics is an efficient point or method of studying teacher’s roles.
